Above is an example of blinds fitted by another provider.
The previous blinds installed were seized up and stuck when we arrived to survey the property. Unable to be retracted or moved. They were an older style of pleated blinds that were not created for a conservatory roof. You may still be wondering what is wrong with the set above. Perhaps they worked well when they were first fitted? However, as you can see in the photos, even when these blinds were first fitted they were never perfect. On either side of the blind, they incidentally left large gaps for sunlight. Additionally, they installed thick interim rails to try make the blinds fit the shapes in the roof. More notably, portions of the windows were blocked off completely! Their blinds were not made to the precise points of the triangular shaped windows like what we offer below.
pure™ Pleated Blinds
We replaced the above blinds with our pure™ Pleated Blinds and we believe the contrast between the two images speaks for itself. Our pure™ Conservatory Blinds are neatly fitted tight to the glass and any gaps between blinds are almost invisible. Alongside that, we used a combination of a doubled-up layout and an individual layout during installation. This way the blinds are tailored uniquely to the triangular shapes in the roof and up to the rim of the glazing. Without leaving any visible gaps! Our precise fitting is even visibly effective with their more common rectangular shaped roof windows in the photo.
Not only does the pure™ Pleated Blinds offer smaller gaps by each side of the blind, but due to the pure™ Rail there is no discernible gap between the rail and the conservatory frame. This gives the conservatory a more streamlined and polished look.
Alternative Conservatory Blinds Options
Still wondering ‘what are the best type of blinds for a conservatory?’
At Conservatory Blind Limited we understand not all our customers have the same style and décor in their home. As a result, we have several conservatory blinds which work in a similar way to our pure™ pleated blinds. But offer a different style or advantage to the conservatory.
This includes our:
- Duette® Pleated Blinds – A practical option which offers temperature control in the conservatory while still maintaining a modern and sleek feel to the room. This type of blind is popular in UPVC conservatories.
- Pinoleum Blinds – An alternative option providing customer with traditional smooth weave blinds which look fantastic in a timber-framed conservatory or orangery.
- Smart Blinds, Remote Control Blinds and Battery Operated Blinds – A smarter way to control your blinds through a remote, battery or via Somfy® TaHoma Smart Home app on multiple devices. For example, your smart phone or a smart device such as an Amazon Echo or Google Home.
