Pinoleum blinds have been used to shade orangeries for many years, as they are an ideal choice for these interiors. Our unique pure Pinoleum Blinds combine the appearance of traditional Pinoleum woven wood with the most advanced conservatory blinds technology.

As the only company to design a complete roof blind system specifically for UK conservatories, our blinds fit any orangery neatly. A recent project in Hampshire showcases our proficiency in crafting blinds. Featuring fifty blinds (including shaped roof blinds), this job got all our teams working hard to ensure our customers’ satisfaction.

Pinoleum Blinds – a Traditional Choice Tackled with Specialist Method

Pinoleum has proven rather difficult to work with, however experience and dedication are keywords when it comes to Specialist Blinds. Although only few companies can work with Pinoleum, we take advantage of our skill in crafting blinds and use it to create the perfect shaped blinds with any fabric.

Orangery roof

This project proved different, as it featured an orangery with a lantern roof. Thus, the blinds we installed are conservatory roof blinds with an individual layout. Our pure™ roof blinds fit neatly into conservatories or orangeries and are designed to be easily operated and safe for children. The roof blinds presented in the photos are pole operated. The handles fitted on each blind connect to an extendable pole, allowing the blinds to open and retract effortlessly.

Pinoleum Blinds for Orangeries

Orangery side windows

Pinoleum blinds create an inviting atmosphere without reducing natural light, and this was our aim for this job. This fabric is ideal for timber framed orangeries like this, as it keeps the traditional feel of the room, while creating a comfortable space. Moreover, to keep the traditional look of this orangery, the rails fitted are made of classic style oak, matching the wooden look of the Pinoleum blinds.

Our pure Pinoleum Blinds are ideal for orangery side windows and are available with child-safe cord operation thanks to the SmartCord® system. Additionally, due to Child Safety regulations, the cord is situated behind the blind to prevent its unnecessary use.

Solar lining for Pinoleum Blinds

Although not presented on this project, all our Pinoleum blinds are available with an optional solar lining. This makes them more efficient at reducing heat build-up and allowing the room to be more comfortable. Therefore, our customers can enjoy temperature control in the room throughout the year. The space is kept cool during summer and the heat is retained during the colder months for comfort all-year round. This allows for both the temperature control of true thermal blinds, and the look of traditional Pinoleum gently filtering the sunlight.

Pinoleum Fabrics and Colours

Our pure™ Pinoleum Blinds are available with a choice of weaves, woods, textures, stitching and edge braiding.

English Pinoleum is made from smooth engineered basswood. To match the framework or décor of orangeries or conservatories, this is available in Farrow & Ball® paint colours.

French Pinoleum from Ballauff of Paris is available in a range of stunning standard colours or entirely bespoke custom finishing.

Smoothweave, a beautifully engineered woven wood found in a variety of conventional colours and hardware, and our customers’ choice for this project.

Pinoleum blinds are a stunning choice for conservatories and orangeries, no matter the time of year. However, with cold weather approaching, there’s no better time to look into insulating your space with our blinds. Head to our Instagram page for more inspiration!
