Duette® Blinds in a David Salisbury Orangery

Duette® Blinds in a David Salisbury Orangery

These blinds with Duette® Fabrics have been neatly fitted into the roof, sides and folding doors of this timber David Salisbury Orangery in Staffordshire.

The blinds use our unique puresolo™ Remote Control operation for the roof, allowing the customer to control them all with a single handset. The side blinds have been recess fitted against the glass, both so the window blinds can fit behind the obstructions caused by the orangery's timber frame, and so the folding door blinds fit neatly enough so as to not interfere with the operation of the bi-fold door.

Duette® Lantern Roof Blinds

Duette® Lantern Roof Blinds

These Duette® Blinds have been fitted into the lantern roof of this timber David Salisbury orangery, with the customer opting to have the blinds fitted into each individual pane of glass instead of having blinds that go across the bottom of lantern.

The blinds are operated using our puresolo™ Remote Control operation, so that every single blind can be controlled from one handset, and so that the customer has flexibility in how the blinds are positioned using simultaneous, group or individual operation.

Duette® Blinds fitted in a set of Folding Doors

Duette® Blinds fitted in a set of Folding Doors

This timber orangery in Staffordshire featured two sets of bi-folding doors. Fitting blinds in bi-folding doors requires an extremely neat fit, as if the blinds stick out too far they can get in the way of the doors folding back properly.

Luckily, because we fit our Duette® blinds using the same rails we use for our pure™ Pleated Blinds we were able to neatly fit the blinds against the glass.

The blinds were fitted using a "floating rail", meaning that they are able to be both retracted down from the top and up from the bottom, and even both at the same time so that the fabric 'floats' in the middle of the glass.

Fitting Blinds Around Obstructions

Fitting Blinds Around Obstructions

The timber frame of this orangery in Staffordshire featured several ornamentations that could have potentially obstructed the blinds. This was an element that the surveyor had to be cautious of when measuring and fitting the blinds for those windows.

Luckily, we were able to fit the blinds neatly enough so they could go behind the obstructions, letting them match the rest of the window blinds in the orangery and also ensure that any gaps between each blind were kept as small as possible.

Neat Fitting Duette® Window Blinds

Neat Fitting Duette® Window Blinds

This image shows how neatly we can fit Pleated Blinds with Duette® Fabric: The window blinds are fitted up against the glass, so they are able to fit behind the obtructions in the wooden frame of the orangery.

On the left of the image you can see a side-on view of the blinds fitted into a set of folding doors, recess fitted against the glass so any gaps to either side of the fabric are as small as possible.
